Retelling My Test

Exams coming up, goosebumps heading my way and a lot of questions to answer.

A week ago our class  had our writing test. It was very  difficult because my story included  a lot of emotions and thoughts that I had to write down. My story was about A Big Birthday Celebration.

 I was looking around the classroom to help me for ideas. I was tapping my pencil and looking out the window. The test was kind of boring.

I felt very scared and worried because I thought  I might fail my writing test but when it was over I felt very relieved. I tried my best but it was very nerve racking. I had put some interesting information into my story.

I hope that I achieved the standards of a year 8 student.

      

                                  

Poetry Recital Finalist

On Friday we had our Poetry Recital and some of the parents  came to watch their children do their poem. So Room 1-12 students had say their poem to the rest of the students and the parents but some of them were funny, interesting and cool to hear what their poem  is about. There were some very brave student who stand still take a breaths. We were proud of every students for saying their poem in front of our school. But our classroom were very proud of : Elizabeth and Florida.

Syndicate Assembly

On Monday in the afteroon Room 10 hosted the assembly and talked about how our country won the Rugby World Cup for 2015 in London. We are so proud of our country because we won the Rugby World Cup two in a row and then we sang a song called We Are The Champion.

My Origami

On Friday in the afternoon our classroom  make different kinds of origami like animals, insects and dinosaurs and we gets our ideas from YouTube. We make it with different coloured paper. I  made a bunny rabbit with purple paper and I did the eyes and the nose with pen.

Senior Syndicate Assembly

 On Monday afternoon we had our Senior Syndicate. First we had a song called Rather Be By Jess Glynne and then we did our talent quest starting  with Room 9 to 12. We sang our last song called Am I Wrong by Nico and Vinz. After the song we went back to our classroom.

Daffodil Day

We had a Daffodil Day to give money to help the children who 

have cancer.

People have raised an awareness of those with cancer. You can donate money and this is given to the hospital.

Madd Messenger

On Friday afternoon was so excited because the Madd Messenger people came back to our school. We had  a lesson about our future and making  the right and wrong choices. Petia Wilson had draw us a picture of Wonder Woman to make our dreams come true.

Itchy Skin

ITCHY SKIN

When you are having a shower you keep your body healthy and clean. But if you don’t you will have a bad smell that could cause a rash that might cause problems to your body.

Make sure that you are using the right soap and shampoo to wash your hair and body.But if you skin is affected then then you have to go to your local doctor who will help you to get rid of it.

If  you  look after  your  body and use the right soap and shampoo then ’re  won’t be any problems about your body.

Spooky Presented By Magdalen and Chance

SPOOKY

In a galaxy far far away there was a big beautiful house in the woods. It was a misty and dark night where thunder, lightning, gloom and doom were all that you could hear.

You could also hear ghosts making creepy whispers in the night, and there was a witch who was making spooky laughter in the darkened room.

There were 2 little kids named Chance and Magdalen who were frightened of the sounds coming from the haunted house. So they shut their eyes and held on tight.

They opened the door and saw some crumbling steps and creaking doors. In side they saw screeching witches and snarling cats.

They looked to their right and saw ghost coming out of the floor and hissing snakes and flapping bats.

In front of them a skeleton with toothy grin appeared and started chasing them. Then they ran as fast as they could but he was gaining fast.

While they were running Count Dracula poked out of his coffin and scared them. They ran out the door as. PHEW, safe at last.

They did not queue up for another look, instead they disappeared into the air.

 An illness is a real bad sickness that affects people which can spread around to others. An illness can begin with sore throats, running nose, a cold and a flu.

Illness  can begin with a throat infection  which can be painful. .A lot of people  go and see their doctors about  it.  They can prevent it from turning into a  illness that can cause them to die.

Dear Mum Jelsa

We are going to our deadliest battle now and I hope that you will be safe while I am gone. At night we heard strange noises coming closer to us but then we all woke up and started shooting the enemy soldiers

It was sad because some of us got shot on the head, neck, stomach, and heart. Our Captain Jacob was very sad that some of his best died. So we started planning what we were going to do next. In the morning we packed our stuff and started moving on.

But I am still alive mum. I hope that we can come back home because I am missing you very much.

A Fun At St Kent's College

Early one morning we came to school and we were excited to go to St Kent's and play different kinds of sports that we haven't play before. We walked down to the bus and it took us to St Kent's College.

When we got there we walked to the hall. Then we went with our two St Kent's sports coaches. We went outside and started to tell them our names. Our coaches names are Ephraim and Daniel.

Then we started to play some sports like,

Touch, Octopus, tagging, basketball, soccer, and other sports with our coaches.

Every Day Threater

I really wished that my family would be lovely and wonderful family instead of my mum and dad fighting and shouting at each other.

My Mum and Dad should stop fighting over me and just calm down so I can stop getting a hiding from my Dad and keep going to my best friend's house.

Man I hope that this fighting between mum and dad stop.

Dad is working so hard to find a job but it's just mum who keeps telling him to go and get a job.

Hello my name is Magdalen and  I go to Ruapotaka  School. I am a Year 8 student.

My favourite Sports is volleyball. I have four sisters and one brother and  they go to the same school as me but they are in different classes.

I have light brownish hair, brown light eyes and brown skin.

My favourite colours are, red, blue, purple,  black, and white.

My culture is Cook island, French Polynesia and Maori.

My favourite subject  at school are Reading, Writing, Topic, and Art.

I like to go shopping, watching movies,  listen to music, and I love swimming.
